Scrabble World Cup : Cameroon Wins Three Medals

Eric Salvador Tchouyo grabbed a gold medal in the classic final on Tuesday October 26, 2021 in Aix-les-Bains, France. The competition ends on Monday November 1.

The 49th edition of the French World Scrabble Championships entered the eighth day yesterday October 29, at the Raphaël du Casino Grand Cercle hall in à Aix-les-Bains, France. Players from 10 French speaking countries in the world are taking part in the competition. Team Cameroon for their first participation at the World Championship put up an excellent performance in the competition. Even though the competition is still going on, they have already won three medals; one gold, one silver and one bronze. The competition which began on October 22, 2021 will run till November 1, 2021. 
Two Cameroonians competed in the classic final on October 27, 2021. They are team captain, Eric Salvador Tchouyo and Amédée Assomo, president of the Cameroon Scrabble Federation (FECASCRAB) who is equally head of the Cameroon delegation in Aix-les-Bains. After 17 rounds the winners of the World Scrabbles Classic competition are now known. In the final, Eric Salvador Tchouyo emerged winner followed by Amédée Assomo and Switzerland’s Nicolas Bartholdi was third.
