U-20 Women’s World Cup Qualifiers : Junior Lionesses In Douala

After several weeks of training in Yaounde, they arrived the nation’s economic capital on November 28 to make final touches ahead of their third round game against Gabon.

The U-20 Lionesses of Cameroon will on December 4, 2021 in Douala meet their Gabonese counterpart in a first leg match of the U-20 Women’s World Cup third round qualifiers. It is against this backdrop that the team led by Coach Ndoumou Mike arrived Douala on November 28, 2021 after several weeks of training in Yaounde. They had their first training session in Douala at the Bepanda annex stadium yesterday November 29, 2021.
Before their departure to the nation’s economic capital for last minute preparatory touches ahead of the double encounter, the Lionesses had gone through several evaluation matches. The last friendly encounter in Yaounde was that pitting the U-20 Lionesses of Cameroon and the Louves Minproff women’s team. The Junior Lionesses defeated their opponents 4-1. This win only shows that the girls have been digesting the lessons of Coach Ndoumou Mike. With four goals, it is clear that the front line is doing well. More work may be needed at the defence to prevent the enemies from penetrating.
