Limbe Omnisport Stadium : Fako Chiefs Clean Up

They promised to take the exercise to their various villages so that every place will be sparking when the football tournament begins on January 9, 2022.

Over 50 Chiefs in Fako Division on Wednesday December 22, 2021 engaged in a clean-up exercise to keep the surrounding of the Limbe Omnisport Stadium clean for the Africa Nations Cup (AFCON) TotalEnergies Cameroon 2021 beginning on January 9, 2022. They cut and raked all the grass at the entrance of the Limbe Omnisport Stadium. The clean-up exercise that started at 8 am lasted for four hours.
Chief Elongo Augustine Kombe, President of Fako Chief Conference, said the people of Fako Division put a lot of premium on cleanliness. “We are a people that are very compassionate, considerate and welcoming. We want to extend that attitude to be an aspect of communion to all the persons that will be in Limbe for AFCON. We are putting all our hands on deck and calling on all stakeholders near and far to come into this event and take it as their personal event,” he stated. He added that all the Chiefs have mobilized their subjects to engage in the exercise in their various communities as houses are receiving a coat of paint and all roads in villages being cleared among other things.
