Cameroon Ready To Receive Africa

For this year’s edition, 24 teams drawn into six groups will be vying for the prestigious trophy.

The 33rd edition of the Africa Cup of Nations also known as the TotalEnergies 2021 Africa Cup of Nations will take place in Cameroon from  . The biennial tournament organised by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) will bring together the best teams from across the continent. It will be the second time Cameroon is hosting the Africa Cup of Nations tournament after that of 1972. For this year’s edition, 24 teams drawn into six groups will take part in the prestigious tournament. The matches will be played across a total of seven different stadiums and in six towns in Cameroon. Yaounde will host two competition venues notably the Ahmadou Ahidjo Stadium in Mfandena and the Olembe Stadium. There is the Limbe Omnisports Stadium in Limbe, Japoma Stadium in Douala, Kouekong Stadium in Bafoussam and the Roumde Adjia Stadium in Garoua. 
The 60,000 Olembe Stadium will host the opening and closing matches of the competition. The top two finishers in each group will progress through to the quarterfinals, along with the four highest ranked third placed teams. As the competition date draws nearer the different teams have stepped up preparations and are working out strategies in order to win the most coveted trophy.
