Mali-Gambia : Fight For Group F Leadership

During the first day of play on January 12, both teams picked up wins against their opponents.

The Scorpions of Gambia will on Sunday January 16, 2022, at 2 pm lock horns with the Eagles  of Mali in a second Pool F encounter at the Limbe Omnisport Stadium in Ngeme. Both teams will be fighting to win against each other and go six points, topping Pool F. 
During day one match, Mali defeated Tunisia by one goal to zero and Gambia surprised Mauritania with same score line. If the Mali vs Gambia match ends as a draw then both teams will be sitting on four points each putting them close to the 16th final. 
In their football history, Gambia is at its first-ever Africa Cup of Nations Football tournament. Tom Saentfief, Gambia coach, insists that they are the underdogs at the pool that has so much quality. That his side will approach each game as it comes. To win the match, Gambia will be counting on key players like Ablie Jallow, Abdoulie Sanyang, Mohammed Mbye and Ebrima Sohna up front.
