Nigeria-Sudan : Eagles, Falcons Ready To Fly

After putting up good shows during their first outing, both teams are ready to go in for a victory that might hand them a knock-out ticket.


Current group D leader, the Super Eagles of Nigeria will take on their Sudanese counterpart Falcons of Jadiane tomorrow, January 15, 2021 at the Roumde Adjia Stadium. The encounter slated for 5 pm local time will be the third in Garoua since the start of the competition.
 Both countries are well known households when it comes to African soccer. While the Super Eagles are said to be one of the favourites in the tournament, the Sudanese are credited for being among the first teams to participate at the maiden edition of AFCON competition in 1957 alongside Egypt and Ethiopia. It will be the 9th time both countries are clashing in AFCON competitions with Nigeria grabbing four wins, Sudan two and two draws. 
After giving Egypt a run for their money, Nigeria will be hoping to book their place for the second round by clinching another victory. To replicate Tuesday’s excellent performance, Nigeria’s coach Augustine Eguavoen, might put in place the same starting line-up that did the job.
