Ghana vs Comoros : Comoros Puts Impressive Show

They beat Ghana yesterday by 2-3 at the Roumde Adjia stadium in Garoua.

Africa's third most titled AFCON Cup holders the Black Stars of Ghana have failed to qualify for the round of 16 after a defeat to the Comoros in a highly technical match. Though the Black Stars began with a lot determination, it was the Comoros that had the best opportunity which captain Ben Mohamed wasted no time to send goalkeeper Joseph Luke into the back if his net at the 4th minute of play.
Despite being one goal down, the Black Stars continue to pressurise the highly motivated Comoros squad all dressed in green as against white for the Ghanaians. After several incursions from the flanks, Ghana came close to level score through on rushing Andre Ayew, but a clash with the Comoros goalkeeper Boina Ben resulted to a serious injury that saw the goalie being evacuated out of the field and the Ghanaian captain receiving a straight red card with just 25 minutes of play. The minutes that ensued saw a more balance match especially at the midfield until the end of the first segment of the game.
Though there were no major changes on both sides at the start of the second half, the rhythm of the game saw a more enterprising Comoros team up front orchestrating beautiful combinations with the aim of increasing the tally.
