Guinea-Gambia : Tough Game For Both Teams

Today’s eighth final match is expected to produce a lot of fireworks as each side is determined to reach the quarterfinals.

The Syli National of Guinea will clash with the Scorpions of Gambia in the third eighth finals match of the ongoing TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations today January 24, 2022 at the Bafoussam Omnisports Stadium. The match will take place at 5:00 p.m. Cameroon time. From all indications, today’s game will be a threatening one as each side will be seeking for a spot in the quarterfinals of the competition. The weekend was dedicated for pre-match conferences and training sessions in the different training fields earmarked for the AFCON in the West Region. 
The Gambians arrived in Bafoussam on Friday, January 21, 2022. They were immediately taken to their hotel residence at Vallee de Bana. The team had a training session yesterday January 23, 2022 in Bana. During the pre-match press conference yesterday, the coach, Tom Saintfiet, said the team was ready and that the players were in good health with no COVID-19 cases recorded. He said one player had light fever the day before but he is now alright and was expected to train with the team. The goal of the team is to qualify for the quarterfinals.  Gambia might not be a fancied team but they stunned the world with their performance.
