Youssef Maksni : The Motivator

He was named Man of the Match following his brilliant performance in the game between Tunisia and Nigeria.

His name might still sound strange to most African soccer lovers, but the job he has been doing at the background for his country speaks volumes. Born on the 28th of October 1990 in Tunis, Youssef who plies his trade for Al-Arabi SC in Qatar, came to the 33rd edition of Africa’s most prestigious competition without knowing the enormous responsibility that awaits him. 
Despite qualifying for the knock out stage as best losers and being handicapped by Covid-19 that forced twelve of their players to stay at-bay, 31-year-old Youssef championed the team last Saturday at the Roumde Adjia stadium in Garoua to beat highly rated Super Eagles of Nigeria.
