AWCON Qualifiers : Lionesses In Gambia

The Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon are in The Gambia where they will play against the Queen Scorpions of Gambia in the return leg last round qualifier for the 2022 Africa Cup of Nations tomorrow February 23, 2022 in Banjul. The Lionesses left Cameroon early this Tuesday February 22, 2022 via the Nsimalen International Airport on board a special flight. 
Prior to their departure, the Lionesses had their last training session at the Yaounde Ominsport Annex Stadium Number One yesterday February 21, 2022. Focus was on ball control and exercises before the goal post. The training session was crowned with a match between the players in a reduced stadium. It was an opportunity for the technical bench to evaluate the mastery of the work done by the players. Coach Gabriel Zabo Toze said the players are being prepared in order to avoid any surprises. He said the players have to be careful, concentrated and work with the conviction that they will secure a ticket for the AFCON. Gabriel Zabo will be counting on the talents of Kameni Flora, Bella Rose, Genevieve Ngo Mbeleck and Gwladys Ewodo, among others. The Lionesses are leading with eight goal advantage courtesy of their 8-0 victory over the Scorpions at the Ahmadou Ahidjo Stadium in Yaounde on Friday February 18, 2022.
