Limbe : Fallen City Mayor Buried Tomorrow

The remains of late Andrew Monjimba Motanga will be laid to rest at Mokundange in the afternoon after public funeral ceremonies.

Mobilisation is intensifying ahead of the interment of late Andrew Monjimba Motanga, deceased City Mayor of Limbe, tomorrow 26 February, 2022. He died on 5 January, 2022, at the Referral hospital in Douala and will be lowered into his eternal grave in his native Mokundange (Limbe) tomorrow.  
With the funeral programme announced by the family of the deceased recently, the population of Limbe, capital of Fako Administrative Division in the South West Region, have engaged intensive preparations to give the Limbe icon befitting honours. 
Sports and cultural activities were planned at the Limbe Community Field yesterday evening in Motanga’s memory. Today, a wake keep will be held in the deceased premises in Mokundange from 6 to 10 pm. Tomorrow, Saturday, there will be viewing of the corpse from 7am to 10am at the deceased Mokundange residence. Burial will be conducted by the family by 2pm after a public funeral ceremony at the Limbe community field.
