PWD Bamenda In Search Of First Trophy

The dream of the Abakwa Boys may come true during the final of the 2021 edition that will take place on Sunday March 13, 2022 in Yaounde.

PWD Social Club of Bamenda is in quest for their first Cup of Cameroon trophy.  Their dream may be fulfilled during the 2021 Cup of Cameroon final that will take place on Sunday, March 13, 2022 at the Yaounde Ahmadou Ahidjo Stadium. Ahead of the long-awaited final, preparations have intensified in the team.  Conscious of the challenge ahead the technical bench of PWD has been working hard in their base in Bamenda. 
The head coach, David Pagou said the team is already at the end of their preparations which will end with the match on Sunday. He said PWD began preparing since they qualified for the Cup of Cameroon final in October last year. Shortly after their qualification, the team had a two-week training session in Yaounde. They had another training session in Yaounde in December which lasted for three weeks but the final did not hold. Training only resumed 0n February 2, 2022. According to Coach Pagou, the team has been training for the past eight months and everything has been technically and tactically put in put o keep the team in top form on the D-day. Concerning the health of the players, Coach Pagou said they are in good health. He said due to the long wait, the team has been able to bring back injured player François Enyegue. He said the player is back in the team but unfortunately will not play the Cup of Cameroon final as he still needs some recovery time.
