Labour, Social Security : Fresh Blood To Preserve Social Peace

The ceremony to commission newly appointed officials was chaired by the Minister of Labour and Social Security on March 16, 2022.

The Minister of Labour and Social Security, Grégoire Owona has called on the newly appointed officials in his ministry to show professionalism and a sense of the interest of the general public in the exercise of their responsibilities, with a view to guarantee quality public service to users of the administration. He was speaking on Wednesday, March 16, 2022 in Yaounde as he commissioned the newly appointed officials. These workers were appointed via a Presidential Decree, a Prime Minister's Decree and three Ministerial Texts. They included, an Inspector General, Technical Advisers and Directors and officials at the Central and Decentralized Services of the Ministry of Labour and Social Security.
Placing the ceremony under the theme, “mobilisation and commitment of all to meet the many challenges related to the performance of the Labour and Social Security sub-sector in the country”, Gregoire Owona said the appointments are made following the major commitments at the end of the ministry’s annual services conference which focused on the constant quest for performance based on professional ethics and the continuous modernisation of the operation of the labour administration.
