BAL Nile Conference : FAP Begins With Win

The Armed Forces and Police team beat BC Espoir Fukash of the DR Congo 77-60 in their first outing at the Hassan Mostafa Sports Complex on Sunday April 10, 2022.


FAP Yaounde, Cameroon’s representatives at the ongoing Basketball Africa League (BAL) Nile Conference in Cairo, Egypt, have begun the competition on a positive note. The Armed Forces and Police team beat BC Espoir Fukash of the DR Congo 77-60 in their first outing that took place at the Hassan Mostafa Sports Complex on Sunday April 10, 2022. 
The Armed Forces and Police team put up a good performance from the start. BC Fukash equally began well and even lead the first quarter with a six-point difference (24-19). FAP Yaounde however came up stronger and won the second, third and fourth quarter (18-24, 22-17, 22-8). FAP will face Cape Town Tigers in their second outing tomorrow, Wednesday April 13, 2022. Prior to their departure, FAP had as objective to reach at least the semi-finals of the Nile Conference. The current leaders in the national basketball championship are participating in the Basketball Africa League for the second time.
