National Football Teams : Shake Up Within Some Selections

A new coach for the U-20 Lions, coordinator of all national teams as well as new team press officer of the Lions were the major appointments made by FECAFOOT on Tuesday.

The President of the Cameroon Football Federation (FECAFOOT), Samuel Eto’o, since his election over some six months ago, has been making many changes that will help him attain his goal of giving Cameroon’s football a facelift. On Tuesday July 12, 2022, he made major adjustments within the technical and administrative benches of some national selections with the objective of producing better output. 
One of the major decisions he took on Tuesday is the appointment of Augustine Simo as the new coach of the U-20 Lions. He replaces Ousmanou Christophe. Simo is a personality who is not new to football and to coaching. At the time of this report, he was still serving as Assistant Coach of the Senior National Selection. Perhaps, cumulating these two functions will mean ensuring a smooth transition of players from the junior to the senior level. The same decision appoints Yvan Loïc Kenmoe Simo as deputy coach, André Joël Eboue Eboue, as goalkeeper coach and Ndikum Blaise Tengoh as physical trainer.
Another decision signed by the President of FECAFOOT appoints Benoit Angbwa, as the General Coordinator of all national football teams. He replaces Bill Tchato who was at the helm of this post. Benoit Angbwa just like Bill Tchato is a former footballer, thus masters the problems faced by these football selections.
