North West : Lessons To Better Navigate Cyberspace

- Heads of Regional, Divisional Technical services and Public Agencies in the North West have been inspired to embrace digitization and innovative digital solutions tailored to facilitate the discharge of their functions. The event was a three-day seminar in Bamenda during which the digital skills of participants were enhanced to effectively harness the transformational potential of ICTs for the benefit of communities.
Organised by the National Agency for Information and Communication Technologies (ANTIC), a message from their General Manager, Prof. Ebot Ebot Enaw stressed the need to instill a cyber-security culture in public servants, especially in the North West Region where many lack basic knowledge while many others have been victims of cybercrime. "State Personel: Victor's of cyber security Best Practices" was the subject that helped participants to take home lessons on cyber security and cybercrime, legal framework and respect of human Rights, privacy and Data protection, Digital Forensics and cyber investigation, benefits of ICTs in service delivery etc.
