Ensuring Collective Success Through A Socialist Vision

China is resolute about building a system of governance that reflects its Communist realties and national character.

Thousands of delegates who gathered at the recent Congress of the Communist Party of China listened to the party’s doctrine as enunciated by their General Secretary. President Xi Jinping in his capacity as leader of the party came out strong on the values during the week-long discussions from 16-22 October, 2022.
Meeting in the Great Hall of the People at Tiananmen Square, Beijing, delegates listened to the policy position of their emblematic leader who is out to take the country to higher levels, no matter the internal and external challenges that may stand on China’s path. To achieve such vision, key policies that kept being mentioned are: Continuous improvement of the Chinese Socialist System; Unity and hard work within the entire party, army and the population; Emphasising Institutional governance and capacity building; Upholding a centralised system with people running the country based on the philosophy of development, meritocracy and integrity; A country with one party and two systems, Upholding the culture of Socialism with Chinese characteristics; Ensuring social stability and harmony of the country; Targeted poverty alleviation; Developing a new strength in a new era; and coexistence with other countries while helping such countries to improve on their people-centred ambitions.
Unlike outside perceptions that the Chinese may be out to build views that deviate from an open space for debate as in most democracies, the people and their leadership have been vocal about their desire to ensure that national objectives do not ignore the importance of democratic values, dynamic and inclusive development. Most observers are agreed that since 1st October, 1949 when the Chinese Communist leader, Mao Zedong announced the creation of the People’s Republic of China, the country has been on a steady rise towards creating a sense of nationhood through a process of bringing all facets of the country on board.
Successive leaders have forged on with the determination to transform the economy and global outlook of China. It has enabled the young, the old, educated and so on to take an active part in working towards eliminating poverty in the country and exporting the wealth, technological know-how and development drive by the People’s Republic of China to the rest of the world. In order to translate such goals into concrete reality, the CPC has taken President Xi’s Province of origin, Jiangxi as a yardstick for the rest of the country to emulate with party seminars constantly being held across the Province to ensure that the directives are not only well understood, but effectively applied to impact the lives of the people.
Even when the Socialist path chosen by China initially made some international partners to doubts, the methodical approach taken by President Xi Jinping has opened the doors for the population to create wealth and to bring on board several countries in Africa, Europe, America and Asia to share in the country’s search for the wellbeing of humanity. Without any aggression or diplomatic hostility, the Peoples Republic of China has continued to forge on with multilateralism while decrying attempts to foster any form of monolithic policies across the globe. One significant measure of approval of the leadership of President Xi was another five-year tenure that the CPC congress gave him.
This is a call for him to continue with the modernisation started during his last mandate and the strategic edification of a modern Socialist China. In spite of great upheavals that the world faced within the last two years with the Covid-19 pandemic that nearly crippled the global economy, China has maintained a global leadership position in cereal production, a strong manufacturing industry and currency reserve. China under President Xi Jinping has virtually gone past the basic needs as motorways, railways as well as major development infrastructure keep cropping up across the entire country. Development strides which have kept the Ambassador of China to Cameroon, Wang Yingwu upbeat about the future prospects of the People’s Republic of China. Addressing reporters on 10 November, 2022 from several media structures in Yaounde that went nosing for information on the lessons of the just-ended Chinese Communist Congress, the diplomat pointed out that the country is bent on pursuing the dynamics of growth with the Communist party playing a key role in the policy options chosen by the country. A declaration of the Central position of the Chinese Socialism.
This equally calls for steps to better transmit party doctrine to the hinterlands. Thus, the development model that is intended for any specific part of the country undergoes careful planning and a participative approach is carried out to ensure that projects do reflect the aspirations of the population. That is how President Xi has pursued his vision across China. From his days as Vice Secretary of the CPC in his Ningde town to the Vice Secretary of the party in the entire Province and Governor of Fujian, President Xi Jinping from 1990 when he was 36 years old to 2012, has written the transformational stories of hi...
