1.139 Police Officers Received Epaulettes

The ceremony that took place in Douala on Friday, was presided at by the Governor of the Littoral region.


Newly-promoted police officers in Wouri Division of the Littoral Region have been called upon to respect the ethics and deontology of the police force. The call came during the award of epaulettes to some 1,139 police officers of different ranks and grades that took place on Friday.  The ceremony saw the promotion of 19 senior police officers, 252 second grade police officers, 213 inspectors of police, 175 second grade police inspectors, 12 senior police constables, and 470 second grade police constables.
While awarding the epaulettes, the Governor of the Littoral Region, Samuel Dieudonne Ivaha Diboua, congratulated the newly-promoted, while reminding them that each promotion comes with more work. He appreciated the police in the Region for the efforts in the fight against banditry and the maintenance of peace and order. He said such ceremonies were also to appreciate their efforts, discipline, tenacity and availability whenever need arises.
