Dubai Grand Prix Para Athletics : Team Cameroon Set To Conquer

Some 12 athletes, three guides as well staff members will be defending the colours of the nation in the competition which kicks-off tomorrow February 22, 2023.

The Dubai 2023 World Para Athletics Grand Prix which begins tomorrow February 22, 2023 will see a handful of Cameroonian athletes battle to obtain their qualification for the World Para Athletics Championship Paris 2023 as well as the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games. Concretely, a delegation of six athletes ((FECSDEP), one coach and one physiotherapist constitute the physically challenged team. As for the visually impaired team (FECASDEV), six athletes, three guides, two coaches, one medical doctor, one President and his guide will be defending the colours of Cameroon in the prestigious competition. The above mentioned athletes compete in track events (100m, 200 and 400m) and field events, (long and high jumps). The Paralympic Team is expected to leave the country on February 23, 2023 for the competition’s venue. Amongst other athletes, is Arlette Mawe Fokoa (F57), Birmingham Commonwealth Games medallists, who is determined to make her nation proud. Others include, Charles Christole Atangana, Loic Wandji, Valentin Ndzana, just to mention but a few.
