Dubai Grand Prix Para Athletics : Two Medals For Cameroon

Bekale Mvondo Stéphane Bekai won gold and Atangana Ntsama Charles won silver in the 400m race for the visually impaired.

Two Cameroonian para athletes championship have grabbed medals for country at the 2023 Grand Prix Faza Para Athletics that is taking place in Dubai Bekale Mvondo Stéphane took the gold medal and Atangana Ntsama Charles the silver in the 400m T11 while they are currently participating in the 14th Fazza Para athletics in Dubai. The two athletes also acquired the minima for the World Para athletics in Paris next July by achieving a time of 54"25 and 56"66 respectively. Other Cameroonian athletes were expected to compete in shot put yesterday March 1, 2023 at the event in Dubai. The programme is part of the qualifier series to be eligible to participate in the next Paralympic Games 2024 in Paris. 
Some six athletes are representing Cameroon in the competition, one coach and one physiotherapist make up the physically challenged team (FECSDEP).
