Cameroon-Algeria Relations : Ambassador Bids Farewell

Boumedienne Mahi was received by the Prime Minister at the behest of the President of the Republic on March 18, 2023 as he has come to the end of his diplomatic stay in Cameroon.

The outgoing Ambassador of Algeria to Cameroon, Boumedienne Mahi, who has come to the end of his diplomatic assignment in Cameroon, was on March 18, 2023 granted a farewell audience by the Prime Minister, Head of Government, Joseph Dion Ngute, on behalf of the President of the Republic. 
A statement from the outgoing Ambassador noted that he worked with Cameroonian authorities to enhance cooperation and mutual support in various sectors of bilateral cooperation. “I had the honour of being received four times by the Prime Minister throughout my stay in Cameroon. On the political front, we have observed that our relations were marked by cooperation ties being intensified especially after the signing of the Political Consultation Accord. I am leaving a country of very nice people where I was already developing exceptional human relations,” Boumedienne Mahi stated. He added that at the economic level, cooperation ties were strengthened through the launch of the Economic Mixed Commission and also by the visit of an economic mission to Cameroon in January 2023. The quality and importance of economic operators, the Ambassador stated, enabled a diversity of sectors to be reached at. “We had the opportunity to sign the accord for the creation of an Algerian-Cameroonian Business Council that will help intensify these economic relations,” the Algerian diplomat explained.
