2023 Cup of Cameroon : Last Two Spots In Contention

The semifinals of the competition to produce the finalists are billed for Saturday June 24, 2023 at the Bepanda Omnisports Annexe Stadium in Douala.

The team that will take over from Coton Sport of Garoua, 2022 winners of the Cup of Cameroon will soon be known. Semifinals matches of this year’s edition have been scheduled for Saturday June 24, 2023 at the Bepanda Annexe Stadium in Douala. The four teams in contention are battling for the last two spots of the competition.
The first semifinal of the day will see PWD Bamenda log horns against Stade Bandjoun. In the eyes of a layman, the game maybe unequal given that it pits regional league side Stade Bandjoun against PWD in the Elite One. But concretely, reaching this stage of the competition is not an easy task. It is meant for those who can and not those who want; making every team at this stage deadly. PWD of Bamenda should thus wipe out any notion of having an easy ride over Stade Bandjoun. It is no news that this club has eliminated tough opponents on their path to the semis. Booting out the likes of Bamboutos of Mbouda and Stade Renard is not a petty feat. Stade Bandjoun will thus want to qualify for their second final after the 1996 edition and why not go for their first trophy. On the other hand, PWD are coming to the game as one-time winners hungry for yet another trophy.
