Women’s Military World Cup : Cameroon Bows Out

Cameroon will not be honored to play a second consecutive final of the Women’s World Military Football Championship. The Military Lionesses were defeated by South Korea 4-1 in one of the semifinals played yesterday July 5, 2023 at  SV Spakenburg, The Netherlands.
The South Koreans since the start of the competition have impressed with their tactical mastery and speed on the field, while the Cameroonians have demonstrated their offensive power and defensive solidity. But yesterday was not one of those good days for Cameroon that recorded three on three on the group phase of competition. 
Finishing first of Group C and with South Korea qualifying for the semifinals as the best second placed team, Cameroonians were already optimistic for a second consecutive final. A dream which did not come true evidently due to the attacking and defensive lapses of the team in yesterday’s match that was reportedly temporally stopped due to heavy rains.
