Ascension To Second Division : Fight For Two Tickets Today

ISOHSA takes on Pouma FC while Bafmeng plays Volcan in the semifinals of the Interpools in which the finalists will automatically progress.

Today July 27, 2023 is a very decisive one in Cameroon’s football this season. This is given that it is going to determine the two teams that will move from the regional league to the prestigious second division via the semifinals of the National Interpools.
The representative of the South West Region, Isle of Hope Sports Academy (ISOHSA) play the flagbearers of the Littoral Region, Pouma FC at the Yaounde Omnisports Annex 1 Stadium. In The other semifinals, North West Champions, Bafmeng FA battles it out against West Champions, Volcan FC of Noun at the Ngoa-Ekelle Stadium. The winners of both matches automatically climb to the elite two championship. The stakes are thus very high.
The ISOHSA-Pouma game promises to produce fireworks especially as both sides showed very interesting qualities during the group phase of the National Interpools. ISOHSA, created in 2015 and progressed to the regional league in 2017, finished top of Group A with eight points; recording two wins and two draws. Of the four teams left in the competition, ISOHSA is the only undefeated side. They evidently have the best attack with nine goals scored and just three conceded. Since their qualification to the semifinals, the team has been receiving serious financial and material support from elite of the locality. Pouma FC, on the other hand, finished second in Group B with seven points and believe that they have what it takes to progress to the second division.
