2024 WAFCON Qualifiers : Cameroon Begins Preparations

The head coach of the national women’s team has summoned 30 players to take part in the first training session ahead of the double header against Kenya this month.

The Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon will play against Kenya in the away and return legs of the first round of the qualifiers for the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations that will take place in Morocco in 2024. In this light, the head coach of the national women’s team, Jean Baptiste Bisseck has summoned 30 players to camp to begin preparations. On Coach Bisseck’s list are only home-based players. The list of players will subsequently be refined with the arrival of professionals who play away from home. 
The players are drawn from clubs in the Guinness Super League like Louves Minproff, Amazones FAP, Awa Filles, AS Fortuna and Lekié FF, among others. On Coach Bisseck’s list are four goalkeepers, seven defenders, eight midfielders and eight attackers. Six other players are on the reserve list.  The list is made up of players of the Guinness Super League at a time when the championship has not yet begun. Prominent on the list of players for the first preparatory training session are Marie Gisele Ngah Manga and Tabe Brenda Ebika. Jean-Baptiste Bisseck has put his confidence in Marie Gisele Ngah Manga, the top scorer in last season's Women's Super League with 19 goals to her credit to take on Kenya in the double-header.
