Municipal Development : Douala I Evaluates Work Done

Councillors of the Douala I council have reaffirmed their commitment to work towards the development of the municipality. This was during the double council session that took place on September 14, 2023 in Douala. The council session was aimed at examining the budget of the council as of August 31st 2023 as well as the budgetary orientation. It came out of the session that the administrative account of the Douala I municipality for the 2022 financial year results from a balanced budget in revenue and expenditure in the sum of CFA 4,008,229,950 (four billion eight million two hundred and twenty-nine thousand nine hundred and fifty) CFA francs.
The budget was initially at the sum CFA 3,442,870,574 (three billion four hundred and forty-two million eight hundred and seventy thousand five hundred and seventy-four) francs CFA, but  was readjusted following registration on special authorizations for credits transferred from the public investment budget (BIP) worth CFA 265,718,900 (two hundred and sixty-five million seven hundred and eighteen thousand nine hundred) CFA francs distributed as follows: CFA 199,000,000 as investment component, CFA  48,359,450 as operating budget for the first half of the year and CFA  18,359,450 as operating component of the second semester.
Out of the total forecast of 4,008,229,950 (four billion eight million two hundred and twenty-nine thousand nine hundred and fifty) francs CFA, the sum of CFA 2,487,974,947 (two billion four hundred and eighty-seven million nine hundred and seventy-four thousand nine hundred and forty-seven) CFA francs was collected.
