Chantal Biya International Cycling Race : Kick Off On Monday

The 23rd edition of the Chantal Biya International Cycling Race will take off on Monday, October 2, 2023 in Kribi, headquarters of the Ocean Division. The date was confirmed by the organisers during the last preparatory meeting that took place in the Ministry of Sports and Physical Education yesterday September 28, 2023. The meeting brought together officials of the Ministry of Sports and Physical, Education, the Cameroon Cycling Federation, partner ministries, authorities of the Centre Region and other invitees. 
Speaking at the occasion, the Minister of Sports and Physical Education, Narcisse Mouelle Kombi, called on the organisers and partners to put their ideas and skills together in order to enable Cameroonian cyclists put up a remarkable performance in this year’s race. Also, to give honour to the First Lady whose name the competition bears. The purpose of the meeting was to evaluate the level of preparations four days to the start of the event. The different subcommittee heads in charge of the organisation took turns to present to the Minister the situation of their committees.
