U-20 Women’s World Cup Qualifiers : Cameroon-Kenya Tomorrow

The encounter to be played at the Yaounde Omnisports Stadium is the first leg third round qualifiers to the 2024 football fiesta.

The U-20 women’s team of Cameroon meets their peers from Kenya this Saturday November 11, 2023 at the Yaounde Omnisports Stadium as from 5 p.m. The duo is logging horns within the framework of the first leg third round qualifiers to the U-20 Women’s World Cup to be staged next year in Colombia.
The two teams are hungry to move to the next round of the qualifiers and have thus been bracing up accordingly. Coach Hassan Balla of Cameroon recently made public his list of 23 players for the encounter plus four reserve players. The majority of the list is made up of homebased players but for Toko Achta Njoya of CD Getafe Feminino of Spain. Ngock Monique of Stade Reims, France was called in the reserve list and if finally available for the encounter, she will constitute a serious threat to the Kenyan opponents. She is one of the host of players who recently played for the senior national team in the second round qualifiers of the 2024 Women’s Olympic Tournament. Apart from Ngock Monique, some other players who were used recently in the senior national team include Cathy Biya, Marlene Essimi, Bernadette Mbele. Their experience in the senior team will be very useful for Cameroon in Saturdays encounter. Knowing that the Kenyan team has a very proficient attack judging from their 10-1 win on aggregate in the second round qualifiers against Angola, Coach Hassan Balla must have ironed out his defence.
