Women’s Handball World Championship : Cameroon-Montenegro Confrontation Today

The match will take place at the 50,000 capacity Helsingborg Arena in Sweden this November 30, 2023.

 

The national senior women’s handball team will confront Montenegro today, November 30, 2023 in their first outing at the ongoing World Championship in Denmark, Norway and Sweden. The match will take place at the 50,000 capacity Helsingborg Arena in Sweden. The handball Lionesses arrived in Helsingborg yesterday November 29, 2023 after a two-week training session in France.
During their stay in France, the Lionesses participated in the 2023 edition of the Tournoi de France Caen 2023 that took place at the new Palais des Sports from November 24-26, 2023. The Lionesses played two matches against South Korea and Senegal. They lost to South Korea 27-21 and lost to Senegal 22-16. The tournament in France was an opportunity for Coach Tabeth Njantou to evaluate his players ahead of the World Cup.
Ahead of today’s encounter, Coach Bertin Njantou and his players are working out winning strategies in order to make a difference in this year’s edition of the World Championship.  Coach Njantou said the goal is to do better than in the previous editions. The Lionesses of Cameroon will be making their fourth participation at the World Cup after 2005, 2021 and 2021. At the moment, the Lionesses are ranked 20th on the World Ranking.
