National Volleyball Championship : Competition Gets Tougher

The second playing day of the competition took place in Yaounde last weekend.

As the days go by the national volleyball championship gets tougher. The second playing day of the competition rounded off in Yaounde last weekend with diverse results. Organised by the Cameroon Volleyball Federation (FECAVOLLEY) the competition brought together teams from volleyball clubs across the country. Inhabitants of Yaounde and its environs had another opportunity to discover new techniques in the sport. It was equally an opportunity to detect new talents. For two days the players displayed rich talents in volleyball. 
The competition unfolded in the men’s and women’s categories. The venues chosen for the competition were the Mfandena Gymnasium and the Yaoundé Multipurpose Sports Complex in Mfandena. In all, there were 14 teams in the men’s category and 10 teams in the women’s category. In the unofficial classification after the second playing day, FAP Volleyball Club of Yaounde is leading Pool A with eight points. Mayo Kani Evolution are second with seven points and Dynamique of Douala are third with three points. In pool B, Port Douala are on top with nine points with one match left, Litto Team VB are second with nine points and Cameroon Sport are third with five points.
