Cité Sic: School Supplies to 60 Deserving Pupils

The donations were made recently by a local organisation in a Government primary school.

Some 60 deserving pupils from the Government primary school Cite Sic, in the Douala V Subdivision, have received school needs that will permit them go about the 2025/2026 school year with ease. The donations were made by the “Brother and Sister” association of Cité Sic on Thursday, September 11. The association provided school bags, pens, pencils, and books to 60 pupils who had excelled academically during the previous school year. The donation encouraged the young recipients to continue their pursuit of excellence. During the ceremony, the association’s president, Charles Maboa Bebe, spoke about the group's history and mission. Formed in 2005, the organization was created to address growing concerns about security and declining health conditions in the neighborhood. "We, the children of Cité Sic, could not remain indifferent to a situation that was not right", Maboa Bebe explained. "We always knew Cité Sic as a neighborhood of peace, a place where we could live well". The association's current focus is on giving back to the community, with a strong emphasis on education.
