Joshua Osih: Party Focusing On Four Main Pillars

The Social Democratic Front (SDF) entered the campaigns for the Presidential election with a political programme bordering on four main pillars. The four main axes include enhancing democracy, sovereigntism and PanAfricanism. His programmes for the nation on the different domains of the society thus centres around these four pillars. With regards to enhancing social democracy, the Presidential candidate proposes to take a clear position against human exploitation in all its forms, the looting of the country's resources, and massive imports that destroy the local economic fabric. Promoting gender and social inclusion, and giving the pride of place to local production in Cameroon and the equitable redistribution of the wealth created locally is also contained in the programme.

Concerning democracy, the SDF is proposing nine principles, amongst them, the representation of all social strata in decision-making bodies, respect for fundamental freedoms, notably freedom of expression and the right to information, putting in place a consensual electoral code and strengthening civic edu...
