2025 Sports Season : Memorable End!

Prime Minister Joseph Dion Ngute yesterday chaired the cup of Cameroon final, on behalf of the Head of State, handing the trophy to Panthère Sportive du Nde who emerged winner.
Happy end indeed as the 2025 sports season came to a close yesterday with Panthère sportive du Nde of the West Region, lifting the trophy after a 3-1 win against Colombe Sportive of Dja et Lobo of the South Region. The team secured a win during penalty shootouts following a 1-1 tie after regular playing time. The trophy was handed by the Prime Minister, Head of Government, Joseph Dion Ngute who chaired the finals that took place at the Omnisports stadium yesterday December 14, 2025 on behalf the President of the Republic, Paul Biya. Handing over the cup to the winners of the 64th cup of Cameroon final, Joseph Dion Ngute congratulated the players for their efforts and determination to success while equally recognising the strides of the runner-ups. It was also a moment for the Head of Government to hand over trophies to meritorious clubs and athletes of the different sports competitions organised within this year's sporting season.
In a sequence of events, the Prime Minister was welcomed upon arrival at the stadium by the Minister of Sports and Physical Education, Narcisse Mouelle Kombi, after which he was offered a bouquet of flowers by a little girl, following her kind words. After the rendition of the national anthem, Joseph Dion Ngute reviewed the troops and proceeded to greeting Presidents of the different sports federations in the country. Once seated at the Presidential Tribune, the official ceremony commenced with an opening parade done by students from State universities and the National Institute of Youth and Sports. Over 50 sporting federations of Cameroon took part in the parade, notably amongst them; gulf, basketball, tennis, scramble, boxing, cricket and American football.
