Match-day eight of season six of the Guinness Super League ended on Monday, April 6, 2026, with another shocking result for defending champions Lékie FC. They were held to a 1-1 draw by Dja Sports Academy. This marks Lékie’s third draw this season; results not helping their quest to honourably defend the title. Monday’s outcome meant they lost the chance to claim the first place, as leaders FC Ebolowa, atop the standings, had also been held to a draw by Éclair FF before Lékie’s game. FC Ebolowa, despite failing to deepen their lead thus keep the first spot with 20 points, while Lékie stayed second with 18, the two-point gap unchanged. More troubling for both teams is Dja Sports lurking close behind, showing more and more determination to close the gap. The club now has 15 points; just three from Lékie and five from FC Ebolowa. Gaps not impossible to close, as the championship is far from over and anything can happen. Another strong performance came from Éclair FC, that grabbed a precious point from dreaded FC Ebolowa.
