The Most Rev. Sarah Mullally: Pastoral Visit Ends Satisfactorily

“I t has been a real pleasure to be in Cameroon and as I leave, I take with me the people of Cameroon in my heart. I will remember you continually in my prayers. But also, I thank mem­ bers of the Anglican Church here for the hospitality they have given me, for their faith which is deep, for their generosity which is wide, a church that is seeking peace and you will continue to be in my prayers. May God’s blessing be upon you,” are the last words of the Archbishop of Can­ terbury, Her Grace Sarah Mullally, as she headed to the foot of the plane for her departure from Cameroon. The ceremonial head of the Anglican Church was seen off at the Yaounde- Nsimalen International Airport by the Minister of Territorial Administration, Paul Atanga Nji, on behalf of the Head of State. He was accompanied by the British High Commissioner to Cameroon, Matt Woods, Cameroon’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Albert Fotabong and other administrative officials. Clergy of the Anglican church equally showed up at the airport to bid farewell to their religious leader who for her five-day pastoral visit in Cameroon encouraged them to stand firm in Christ and be exemplary in their actions.
