Momo Peace, Unity Sports Competition: 11 Ripe Pepper Emerge Champions

The winners of the men’s football final, amongst others, were rewarded at the closing ceremony chaired by the tournament’s sponsor, Minister Mbah Acha Rose on August 30, in Mbengwi.

The second edition of the Momo Peace and Unity Sports Competition ended on August 30, 2026 with an official closing ceremony chaired by the sponsor, Minister Mbah Acha Rose Fomundam. The Minister Dele­ gate at the Presidency in charge of Supreme State Audit, elite of Momo, called on her people to remain pea­ ceful and united. She also used the event to recognize academic excel­ lence by offering both financial and material support to pupils and stu­ dents who excelled during the just- ended academic year. She called on parents to send their children back- to-school this September and urged those still carrying arms in the bushes to drop them and answer the call of the Head of State, President Paul Biya. " I want to say that sports unite more than anything especially foot­ ball, handball, and other sporting ac­ tivities,” the Minister remarked. Vio­ lence she said, has never solved any problem.
