CDU Adopts Ambitious Field Activities

The party has set out to mobilise militants and supporters ahead of the 2018 elections.

For some time now, Dr Adamou Ndam Njoya’s Cameroon Democratic Union (CDU) is on the field with a succession of activities intended to ensure effective presence and mobilise party members and supporters ahead of the presidential, council and parliamentary elections expected next year 2018.

After organising the Republican Day  dedicated to reflection on the Tripartite Conference of 1991 and peace in the nation’s capital Yaounde, party officials plan to move to the remaining nine Regions of Cameroon. The CDU National Communication Secretary, Ahidjo Mongwat told Cameroon Tribune that Republic Days was to be organised at the CDU Littoral Regional Office in Douala on November 22, 2017. From there, party officials will move to the other regions.

In the days ahead,  a number of activities will also be organised in the CDU stronghold, Noun Division in the  West Region. The party’s National Communication Secretary disclosed that they are preparing to organise a series of cultural manifestations to promote traditional dishes, musical arts and a marathon in the capital, Foumban.

All these activities would culminate to the annual exhibition called the “Carnaval de Foumban”, (Foumban Carnaval). The manifestation true to its traditional of being staged at the beginning of the year, will take place on January 1, 2018.
