The weekend will be busy for Cameroonian clubs involved in the CAF Confederations Cup. Champion of Cameroon, Coton Sport of Garoua, will play against Asante Kotoko of Ghana in the return leg play-off of the CAF Confederations Cup on Sunday January 20, 2019 at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi. Coton Sport lost to Asante Kotoko of Ghana 2-3 in the away leg played at the Yaounde Military Stadium on Sunday January 13, 2019.

After last Sunday’s defeat, Coton Sport have been finetuning their skills in Yaounde in order to correct the errors of the away leg. The team had their last training session at the Yaounde Military Stadium on Wednesday, January 16, 2019. Coach Bertin Ebwelle and the technical bench worked more on the defence compartment which created problems for the team in the first leg.

Coton Sport will play in Kumasi without top striker, Bawak Etta Thomas who is on suspension after he earned two yellow cards. That alone is a major handicap for the team. Coton Sport of Garoua will have to beat Asante Koto with a minimum of 2-0 to qualify for the group stage of the competition. The team left for Ghana yesterday ,January 17, 2019 via the Douala International Airport...
