“PWD Bamenda Is Working To Impress”

Abunde Pascal, President General of PWD Social Club of Bamenda on his club's chances at continental level this season.

How prepared is PWD Bamenda for the 2020/2021 national football season and the CAF Champions league?

PWD Bamenda will be out in three fronts during the 2020/2021 football season and the team is mobilising and working towards the challenges that go with our new status as the champions. At the international front, we shall be facing continental opponents at the CAF Champions league. At the domestic scene, we are poised to retain our Elite One title and why not, grab the national challenge cup. From the look of things, it shall be tough and we are preparing in consequence.

We are building a team that should impress. We have reinforced the delivery capacity of the team by enrolling some new players with enough local and international experience and exposure in the different compartments of the team. To ensure the stability of the team, the contract of our Head Coach, David Pagou has been extended. This was done early enough to give him ample time to prepare ahead of the new season. PWD recently undertook some administrative restructuring. The position of a sports director has been introduced to handle some specific assignments to boost the morale of the PWD family. We have equally engaged a series of friendly matches both at home and abroad to get the team to competition level.

What is the financial strength of PWD Bamenda to face the challenges of National and continental competitions?
