Developing Adamawa Region: Government Gives Assurances

E nsuring the growth of the Ada­ mawa Region, a locality faced with security challenges no­ tably kidnappings for ransom and serving as host community for the influx of refugees from neighbouring countries has been discussed at the Star Building. This was during a wor­ king session yesterday, July 28, 2026 the Prime Minister, Head of Govern­ ment, Joseph Dion Ngute had with executives of the Regioanl Council, led by its President, Aliou Issa “We came to present Adamawa Re­ gion, which is a specific and strategic Region in this country. We presented to the Prime Minister the importance of this region and took the oppor­ tunity to raise certain issues that are close to our hearts. These include, road, financial, health issues and security challenges,” he stated. With regards to security challenges, the President of the Regional Council said kidnappings for ransom top the list, and aspect which raises concerns.
