Environment, Nature Protection : Enhancing Biodiversity Safety At FCFA 6B

Minister Hele Pierre presented priority actions before the Finance and Budget Committee of the National Assembly on November 29, 2022.

The draft budget of the Ministry of Environment, Protection of Nature and Sustainable Development has been defended by its Minister, Hele Pierre before the Budget and Finance Committee of the National Assembly. This was on November 29, 2022 in the presence of the Minister Delegate at the Presidency in charge of Relations with Assemblies, Bolvine Wakata. 
The proposed budgetary allocation of the Ministry for 2023 stands at FCFA six billion, 710 million, representing an increase of FCFA 127 million in the 2022 financial year. The Minister explained that globally, resources solicited will be used to enhance biodiversity safety. Priority actions, Minister Hele Pierre said it will be directed to combatting climate change effects, desertification and drought across the national territory.
