Buea : Military Pushes For Safety At Disarmament Centre

Anti-coronavirus materials and food stuff were put at the disposal of the trainees by the 21st Motorised Infantry Brigade.

Some 80 trainees at the National Disarmament Demobilisation and Reintergration Centre (NDDRC) in Buea have been equipped with all the necessary kits to combat coronavirus. The 21st Motorised Infantry Brigade (BRIM) headquartered in Buea provided them with hand washing containers adapted with taps, wooded stands, waste water collectors, Carmel water, cartons of soap, dozens of hands sanitizers, protective nose masks, floor rages etc. BRIM also considered that as the trainees are fighting COVID-19, they should not do so in hunger. In this light, the trainees got bags of rice, cartoons of tin fish, cartoons of vegetable oil, soft drinks, breakfast items, toilet papers, detergents to wash their dresses among others. 
Colonel Eyenga Severin, Commander of BRIM indicated that their main concern is to see that COVID-19 is laid to rest. The Divisional Officer for Buea, Abba Abdouraman told the trainees that Cameroon does not want to lose any of them to COVID-19. “Your country Cameroon needs you to build a better future. The protective masks and the other anti-coronavirus materials should be put to use immediately,” he advised.
