Centre Region: New Governor To Spearhead Security, Development

Since Friday, March 31, 2017, Naseri Paul Bea is piloting the affairs of the complex Centre Region as new Governor in replacement of Joseph Otto Wilson who died October 24, 2016. The Minister of Territorial Administration and Decentralisation, René Emmanuel Sadi who chaired the official taking-over command ceremony at the esplanade of the Yaounde City Council, presented the context of the region to Governor Naseri Paul Bea.  «Make the Centre a prosperous and region of reference » the Minister prescribed.
Besides the capital city Yaounde, Naseri Paul Bea has the daunting task to promote socio-economic and political development in the entire Centre Region. The Minister told him that the region has a vast rural zone endowed with a vibrant population that work hard to feed the ever-growing population of the capital Yaounde.  He therefore has to be a lead crusader in the maintenance of social peace within the context of some major infrastructure projects.
